Easy 12-minute Flautas

Updated: Aug 14, 2020

When you get home from a long and busy shift, starving and exhausted, but refuse to eat or serve a boring meal to your family.. Solution: FLAUTAS!!!! 😍👌😋

WHY:

  • They are quick and simple to make -- it took me a total of 12 minutes from the time I pulled out leftovers from the fridge to serving these perfectly crispy airfried flautas.

  • They are very easy to make in a big batch.

  • They are great as finger food or appetizer at parties; just cut them into bite-size pieces.

  • They are also perfect as a make ahead meal or snack, and can be stored in the freezer until you are ready to use them.

  • They are convenient for packing to school or work too!

Flautas are wonderfully versatile in that you can make them as simple or as fancy as you'd like!! Went with super simple tonight as I just stuffed them with leftover mashed pinto beans and spanish rice -- so simple that I'm not sure this post qualifies as a recipe. 😅

12-minute Flautas

Prep Time: 5 mins

Cook Time: 7 mins

Ingredients:

  • Whole wheat tortillas

  • Mashed pinto beans

  • Spanish rice with veggies (peas, green beans, corn and carrots)

Directions:

  1. Spread mashed beans all over tortilla.

  2. Sprinkle some rice with veggies, then roll it up.

  3. Airfry at 400 x 7mins.

  4. Serve over lettuce or other greens, with guacamole or salsa on the side!

Note:

I did not add measurements for the ingredients because you can decide how much or how little you want to use of each.
